Tahani Ahmed Abdulla Alphaki

Tahani works with SOS Sahel within the Ministry of Agriculture, she is currently the Director of the Horticulture department. Her roles and responsibilities are:

  • Comprehensive support to agriculture sector aiming at increasing yield of vegetables , fruit, fodder and improvement of irrigation techniques
  • Technical assistance and capacity building for farmers and training of trainers
  • Construction of nursery for vegetables ( improved varieties) fruit production (grafted or tissue culture) in different locality
  • Support the home garden
  • Construction – pilot farms to encourage the farmers to enter horticulture investment.

Tahani is hoping the course will enable her to gain development in skills and capacity to help communities to develop a sustainable future in a practical way.
