The Vegpro Group

The VP Group was founded in 1979 by the late KC Patel, who was soon joined by Bharat Patel. The company has grown from humble beginnings when it relied on small holder farmers’ supply, to an international agribusiness operating three divisions across six countries namely Kenya, Tanzania, Ethiopia, UAE, Netherlands and the United Kingdom.

VP’s principal activities cover Food, Flowers and Freight. This is reflected in the Group’s structure which is split into three companies

Vegpro K Ltd – specializes in Food (fresh vegetables and fruit)

Kongoni River Farm Ltd – specializes in flowers

Freightwing Ltd – handles freight logistics

The group employs over 10,000 people in Kenya and works with over 5,000 smallholder farmers contracted and supported to supply green beans, peas and avocado.
