Knight Chambalika Mhango

Knight is a farmer and animal health community worker. He works as a volunteer for Self-help Africa and is based in Karonga district.

His roles and responsibilities are:

  • Capacity building of farmers through farmer field school
  • Monitoring of livestock farmers
  • Support farmers in feed formulation
  • Training farmers in manure making
  • Ensuring that disease control measures are being followed

Knight hopes on returning home he will share all his new skills with his farmers through farmer field school, which will lead to increasing food security, nutrition status and income at household level. Therefore, promoting sustainable development of the nation at large.
