Christmas message from the Marshal Papworth Fund

Christmas message from the Marshal Papworth Fund

It has been wonderful to welcome Marshal Papworth students back to our courses in 2022, with seven students completing our 10-week short course in sustainable agriculture at Harper Adams University in the summer, and a new cohort of six Masters students just finishing their first semesters in the UK. As well as the in-person courses, we developed an online element to the short course, which went live with 26 students from developing countries completing this pre-cursor to the residential course in the summer.

We would like to thank all those that have supported the Marshal Papworth students and committee in 2022 – we have been able to extend the impact of our scholars’ studies with a range of farm visits and other trips, and the graduation ceremony, led by our patron – Rt. Reverend Stephen Conway, Bishop of Ely – was a real celebration.

With over 220 students now part of the Marshal Papworth alumni, and 28 students currently attending the 6 weeks online course in ‘Sustainable Farming’, which started in November and completes in January 2023, the future looks very bright for the Marshal Papworth Fund.

And finally, if you have any time over the festive period, please do take a look at our re-designed website where you can read all our latest news and stay up to date with our alumni and their achievements.

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
