David attended University of Agriculture in 2015, graduating in BSc Animal Nutrition. He is currently working for Amedzion Enterprise Nigeria, as an Assistant Farm Manager. His role and responsibilities are:

  • Maintains bio-security measures
  • Formulate diets for all classes/types of animals on the farm
  • Document farm records daily
  • Completes vaccination schedules and treat infected animals when necessary
  • Provides market channels for his farm products

On returning home David wishes to take up an appointment as a lecturer. As this is one way he can make an impact in his society.

Juliet works with Development In Nigeria, a community action project of the African Research Association. The qualification has enchanced her work with rural communities and enabled her organisation to secure funding to execute agro-based projects and support microenterprises.

Bridget is Head of the Cartography Unit at the Cross State Forestry Commission in Calabar, Nigeria. The knowledge Bridget gained on the course has been used to educate members of her community and colleagues on modern agriculture practices which in turn has helped to reduce deforestation.

Adewale graduated Olabisi Onabanjo University in 2014 in BSc Agricultural Economics. He volunteers for Ogunstate Ministry of Agriculture – FGN Npower N-Agro Program as knowledge facilitator/volunteer’s team leader. His roles and responsibilities are:

 

  • Sensitizing and training the farmers on new farming practices
  • Serves as an extension agent to farmers
  • Developing projects and business proposals
  • Engaging students and youths in Agricultural projects
  • Coordinate team members weekly activities

On returning home Adewale will continue with his work contributing to the development of agriculture, by using various skills and knowledge gained on his course.
